Kinivo ZX100 Mini Portable Speaker Review

If you’re searching for a lightweight, convenient speaker to use with an mp3 player or radio then look no further than our Kinivo ZX100 Mini Portable Speaker Review.

Specs say these are 3 Watt, 180hz-16khz – so you can see that you are never going to get phenomenal bass out of them (180hz isn’t that low). Notwithstanding they are fantastic little speakers and they appear to perform as good as any speakers of comparable size. They are more than loud enough and won’t vibrate themselves off a table at louder volumes.

The sound quality is great for a speaker of this. It has great low end noise so it can delivering thumping bass for something so small. Too much bass will cause it to vibrate a little but that is to be expected for any speaker of this size. Outside of the bass it has clear crisp tones in the middle to upper ranges

There are some down sides, the Kinivo ZX100 Mini Portable Speaker has colossal issues with mobile phone interference which cause the irritating clickity-clack noises you associate with that, so if you plan to use this on a mobile phone then you need to look further than this speaker.

This is not a Bluetooth speaker so the speaker comes with an all in one link including a USB to Micro USB that divides from into a 3.5mm jack plug, a travel pocket and an instruction manual.
The speaker is plastic however feels well-assembled and strong, ready to survive a couple of drops as well so it’s pretty rugged. It comes in a great range of colours, with the Black and Red number looking particularly menacing and the Green and Grey looking pretty dope as well.

We tested this device with some hard-core, some heavy rock, punk, funk and some 80’s electro cheese and it performed well in across all these different genre’s. The increase in base is noticeable when you pop out the bass boost in the centre.

Ideal for tossing in your back pack for a day out or just leaving on your desk when you need to make a little more noise, the battery is good for 6 hours or so and is compatible with any device that has a 3.5mm jack output.
In summary the Kinivo ZX100 Mini Portable Speaker is a cracking little noise maker that will work with most devices, just beware when using it around your mobile phone. It’s not perfect but for the price it’s very difficult to pick holes.
