Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia

So I thought I would start with one of my favorites say hello to  Jose Cuervo’s Reserva de la Familia. One of the best tequilas I have had or at least can remember the name of. Aged for 3 years using the families special yeast it then has a a dash of 30 year old added to leave you with a tequila akin to a fine scotch in as much as you can quite happily sip rather then shoot (I’ll give my views on shooting tequila in a later post). Each year a different Mexican artist is chosen to design the box so be sure to get em all (I have a few of these laying around) and each bottle is also given a unique number for that years batch. As it is aged for so long (in term of a tequila) you end up with a smooth deep flavor with none of that harsh burn you get with most of the tequila you come across in your local bar. You’ll be looking at about £70 – £80 for this.
